I need some advice
I'm thinking about changing to another blogging platform. Blogspirit drives me crazy sometimes! And since they are a French company, their support is not very clear. I've narrowed my choices down to two--Wordpress or Typepad. I would appreciate if anyone with either of these platforms could tell me the pros and cons. Keep in mind I am somewhat techno-illiterate.
TIA
Wendy

I use Typepad, and I like it a lot. You can get a great looking blog without having to know any techie stuff at all.

WordPress is nice because you can do as little or as much as you want to it. They have a lot of predefined themes that are quite nice, as well. Plus, it's free, so you can at least put it through its paces before you decide to keep it or not.

I haven't used WordPress, but I just moved over to TypePad last month. I had tried Homeschool Blogger, Vox, and Blogger. To me, Typepad is worth paying the $8.95 a month, although I do think they have some free plans. You also can get a free 30 day trial. I have not found any cons to it yet. It's very easy to create sidebars, which they call Typelists. You can completely avoid using HTML at all if you want. It's a lot of fun to edit the appearance of the different parts of your blog.
Basically, I roamed the internet for a few weeks creating sample blogs on all the different sites, just to try them out. It's almost like moving to a new apartment when you move your blog!
